My first "once-in-a-lifetime" GSP actually picked me out to go home with at two weeks old and I found out at an early age that when Brit made up her mind about something ... it was a done deal!!! The litter theme was designer clothing -- hence the name Brittania.
Brit was an awesome bird dog from the start. No one guessed the legacy she would leave our breed as a show dog. Once she learned she could take over the show ring it was "Rule Brittania". She finished owner handled by 13 months with 3 BOB over specials and a Group 2. By 15 months, Brit had garnered 3 BISS, a Group 1 and several more group placements.
Then professional handler Bruce Schultz took over ... and when the dust settled two years later, Brit had defeated over 110,000 dogs, winning a record-setting 49 Bests in Show, 141 Group 1s, 14 BISS and the GSPCA National Speciality Show. She also won back-to-back Group 1s at the Westminster Kennel Club.
